Research Interests

Modelling and simulation, especially Finite Element Methods (Courant/Lagrange FEM, DG-FEM, mixed and hybrid FEM) as well as time integration schemes for ordinary and partial differential equations.

In the context of GRK 1505/2 especially:

- Positivity preserving integration schemes for computing the galvano-taxis of bone cells using reaction-diffusion-equations

- Efficient semi-analytic representation of the activation in the bio-chemo-mechanical model of cell contractility
